{"id":2604,"date":"2023-12-01T11:37:58","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T11:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/patworld.com\/gb\/?p=2604"},"modified":"2023-12-01T11:37:58","modified_gmt":"2023-12-01T11:37:58","slug":"world-aids-day-2023-what-innovations-are-being-developed-for-aids-and-hiv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/patworld.com\/gb\/news\/world-aids-day-2023-what-innovations-are-being-developed-for-aids-and-hiv\/","title":{"rendered":"World AIDS Day 2023 &#8211; What innovations are being developed for AIDS and HIV?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What innovations are being developed for AIDS and HIV?<\/h2>\n<p>With an estimated 39.0 million [33.1\u201345.7 million] people living with HIV at the end of 2022, and with 630 000 [480 000\u2013880 000] people dying from HIV-related causes in 2022 alone<a href=\"#_edn1\" name=\"_ednref1\">[i]<\/a> finding new ways of preventing, diagnosing, and treating the disease is crucial. \u00a0To mark <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/campaigns\/world-aids-day\/world-aids-day-2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World AIDS Day 2023<\/a> we take a look at what innovations are being made in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of AIDS. To do this we initially ran a search for (Human-immunodeficiency-virus or HIV) or (Acquired-immunodeficiency-syndrome or AIDS) and limited it to the last 5 years.
